Recently we received recognition from the Orillia Horticultural Society who kindly placed an award right in one of our gardens. We are truly honored to receive such recognition.

So many times people do things to impress others. We often learn “no news is good news”. But when people go out of their way to point out something that helps us deliver on our promise, outstanding vacation experiences, and improve the community we definitely take it to heart.

In 2012 we were delighted to be rated as Orillia’s number 1 hotel and rated in the top 25 hotels in Canada by Trip Advisor. With the same delight, we thought it would be appropriate to share some of our gardening secrets with you.

Where do Stone Gate Inn’s Beautiful Flowers & Trees Come From?

Our director of operations grows the majority of Stone Gate Inn’s garden in her own greenhouses on a farm. These plants and flowers are often referred to as her children. Only the healthiest and finest children get a chance to grow up on the grounds of Stone Gate Inn.

Who Maintains the Gardens at Stone Gate Inn?

The great gardens of Stone Gate Inn are maintained daily by staff who also adopted Stone Gate Inn gardens as their own children. The children are fed and cared for everyday. If/ when they cry they are attended to immediately. The gardens of Stone Gate Inn are maintained by staff with a deep sense of pride.

A Splash of the Tropics

Stone Gate Inn gardens bloom all summer long with vibrant tints and shades of tropical foliage. These vibrant and colourful blooms really accent the personality of Stone Gate Inn, Orillia’s best and only luxury boutique hotel.

Orillia is also known as “The Sunshine City”. With the abundance of sunshine a beautiful community through the use of gardens and flowers are a great mix. You’ll also find striking floral displays on some of our rooms with balcony gardens.
